Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
My name is Amanda Tartt and I am running an ecological café in London. I was born in England but grew up in Sweden – that was until I started traveling and discovering the world 😉
I have written six (erotic) short stories, of which five have been published in Swedish, the sixth will appear after the summer.
Two of them have recently been translated to English, and hopefully the rest will follow.
I have also started working on my first novel.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest English short story is called Champagne DP. A scrawny boy in school who I ran in to many years later, and who by then had grown in every sens of the word, inspired me to this fantasy.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write when my customers have left my café, very often before cleaning all the tables. The feeling of them still being there, but not needing my urgent services, gives me a real sens of well-being.
What are you working on now?
I am finishing off my sixth (Swedish) erotic short story, which will be published by the end of the summer.
I have also started working on my first novel, a VERY exciting project.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
For my Swedish short stories, I use Facebook ads on a regular basis. I also use Goodreads, for both my English and Swedish writing.
My English short stories came out only a few weeks ago. I have pages on iAuthor.uk.com and on Booklife.com.
I am also developing my website for both English and Swedish.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
To write erotica, write what excites you, and it will hopefully excite others …
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“Show up for work!” It is so easy to get lost in social media, and thatis important too, but keep focused and decide what to do and when.
What are you reading now?
A Swedish autobiography called Maskrosungen by Sandra Gustafsson.
What’s next for you as a writer?
To reach the English-speaking world with my first two short stories, “Chocolate” and “Champagne DP”, so that hopefully there will be a cry out to translate the following ones too ;.-)
What is your favorite book of all time?
“The Picture of Dorian Gray” by Oscar Wilde
