Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I really enjoy creating amazing new characters and have published 7 books so far and one short story. Writing is my passion and when I’m not writing I’m probably off reading. I live in a small City in Canada with my husband, son and two cats.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My book A Mathematical State of Grace Omnibus was released last year in two parts. I decided to put it together into one book after feedback from my readers. It is also cheaper this way for my readers.
The ending came to me in a flash in 2009 and immediately I wrote the first draft. It has taken me until February of last year to release Book 1: Fragment and the response has been very positive. I released Book 2: Finale: Fusion in December.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I often write standing up. Many others have done this before me, but they were writing with a pen and paper. 🙂
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I checked and this is not an expandable box, so I will have to narrow it down to a few. William Shakespeare, Henry David Thoreau, Richard Adams, Stephen King, Margaret Atwood, John Fowles, Neil Gaiman…the list goes on and on.
What are you working on now?
I have several projects on the go at the moment. I’m not certain which project is going to be completed first but suffice it to say I am busy writing and will hopefully have a short story and novel released later on this year.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Myself spreading the word seems to work. Countdown Deals on Kindle Select also seem to work.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Just keep on writing. Never give up.
Read every single day. All different genres.
Read Stephen King’s On Writing.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
‘Description begins in the writer’s imagination, but should finish in the reader’s.’ That is from Stephen King’s On Writing.
What are you reading now?
I just started Bleak by Ian Martyn.
What’s next for you as a writer?
My goal is always to get my book read.
What is your favorite book of all time?
The novel which I have read the most amount of times is Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte.
