Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am an intellectual scholar, but I guess now author as well. I’ve studied world religion for a little over 16 years now spending much of that researching religious practices including other writer’s books and Christian trends affecting society today. Yes, my passion for a more defining grounding on evangelical teaching by identifying how they bear differences in characteristics to Christianity goes deep. My professional career includes serving a stint in the US Army and National Guard, founding of a Christian based entertainment broadcast network company, host of an inspirational top 40 countdown radio program and also a former police officer.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
I decided to title my recent work Christianity (The deceit) because of the many deceiving practices in the world today. After years of research on countless televangelists and evangelical teachers, there was a need for revealing what is truth verses false.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Wow! let me tell you, I normally jot down notes and reminders on paper. Sometimes if not most, I will go on a writing spree of whatever comes to mind or critique on things I hear probably see on T.V. Later, put it all into perspective which can sometimes be daunting, but it keeps me normal.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Well, being that I mostly read the bible, there are times where media content catches my eye. never before have I been influenced by books except the bible however.
What are you working on now?
Currently between helping my youngest son seek a football scholarship in his final year as a senior and creating new ideas for a news syndicate and re-focusing on my voice acting career, the concept for a follow up to Christianity (The Deceit) has started. So, (a word writers should never use) apart from also finding time for my grand-daughter, the crazy writing has begun. Lol, God help me.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
You know what? besides the limited marketing thus far, friends and social media should always be a source for marketing. Word of mouth is also a major driving force for selling books. But for myself, patience, reviews and sites like Book Reader magazine are great ways to promote.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
My advice to new authors would be get as many manuscripts out to friends and colleagues as possible for feedback. Editorial is key and important. make sure your grammar stands out above what your mind may perceive as great.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Taking into account the many things I have read and been told, my mother once told me; be careful about not taking from what anyone else have done or written, and be yourself.
What are you reading now?
The U.S. Constitution. This is something every American should read.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Only God knows what the future holds for me, but in prayer and supplication, a book tour the on to my follow-up book Religion “Man’s Vestige”
What is your favorite book of all time?
Favorite book of all time? Hmm.. I would have to say the bible. It is intriguing, insightful, amazing and just purely encouraging.
