Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I began writing when I was in elementary school. In 2013, I published my first horror anthology “Journey Into the Unknown”. I have released nine novels so far including “Hunger of the Living Dead”, “Catfurnado, Zombies & One Killer Doll” & “Zombie Command”. In 2016, I released the first novel in my superhero/zombie comedy series “The Undead Pool”
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Dawn of Injustice is the second novel in The Undead Pool series. The Undead Pool is a spoof on the comic book universe including The X-Men. I grew up reading comic books and, thanks to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I created my own superhero universe.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I don’t have a writing schedule. I can go for days, sometimes weeks, and not write and then write nonstop until a novel is complete.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
X-Men, Deadpool, Superman, Justice League, Guardians of the Galaxy & The Avengers have influenced the Undead Pool series. My horror anthologies were influenced by years of watching the Twilight Zone, Tales From the Crypt, and the Outer Limits.
What are you working on now?
I’m currently working on the first spinoff novel to the Undead Pool called Bliss Paine. Bliss Paine is my version of Harley Quinn. After I finished that novel, I will begin work on the third Undead Pool novel.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Freebooksy has always been successful for me when I launch a new book. I use as many promotion websites as I can throughout each year so my novels can reach the largest audiences.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write, write, write. The second most important thing to do is build your mailing list. The larger your fan base is, the better you books will sell.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
If you want to make money, write romance. Just kidding. It is wise to write to the popular markets, but I would write what excites you personally.
What are you reading now?
I’m reading The Last Stand by Mark Cusco Ailes. Yes, he’s my brother. I read his books before they go to press.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I have three releases planned for this year. Two Bliss Paine novels and the third The Undead Pool novel.
What is your favorite book of all time?
