Dr. Valerie Martin-Stewart has served the Department of Defense (DoD) as an Electrical Engineer for 25+ years.
As a prolific author, Dr. Stewart has written several books; her second which is now a screenplay has prospects for becoming a movie. Recognized as an expert on the subject of fear, overcoming struggles and personal setbacks, she has pitched her stories to various national media outlets to include: Good Morning America, The Today Show, The View, ABC news, 48 hours/CBS, NBC, FOX news, Essence Magazine, Jet Magazine, USA Today Magazine, Real Simple, 96.3 FM, 90.3, 91.3, Sirius/XM, the Federal News Radio in Washington, DC and interviewed on various radio shows across the U.S.

Stewart is the recipient of numerous awards from the Army, Air Force and Navy for her service and performance as an Electrical Engineer. In 2012, she received both a National Award as a Special Recognition Honoree from the Women of Color STEM and the Meritorious Civilian Award from the Navy.
Adding to her repertoire, she is also a licensed and ordained minister who loves preaching the gospel now for 20 years. Under the non-profit ministry Stewart founded and directs, she awards scholarships to the under privileged, conducts conferences/revivals and leads mission teams to impoverished areas in Jamaica and Peru. She believes everyone has greatness living on the inside, but it must be tapped into.
Dr. Stewart’s educational accomplishments include degrees in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biblical Studies and Theology; graduating Magna Cum Laude in both her Master’s and Doctoral programs. She was inducted into her Alma Mater’s Hall of Fame, University of Alabama in Huntsville, for her academic and athletic achievements.
Stewart played professional basketball in the countries of Peru, Australia and toured in Italy. She also worked for the Australian government for approximately one year as a Computer Scientist.
