What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I write a blog (Under the Lone Star), where I discuss Texas history and the people, food, and events that make Texas so awesome. As far as promotions, I’ve had the most luck with Facebook and Amazon ads.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write. Write everyday. It’s not so important how good this writing is, as long as you keep at it, you will improve everyday. The second most important thing is to read everything you can get your hands on, especially books in your genre
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
A quote by Stephen King. “If you don’t have time to read, you don’t have the time (or tools) to write.”
What are you reading now?
I am currently reading a biography on George H. W. Bush by John Meacham. I draw much enjoyment and knowledge from reading biographies. By reading about those who achieve success in their particular field, one can see that the most important attribute that all these people share is perseverance.
