Well, I live in Southern California, but I studies drama and acting at New York University. I have written several books, and I write multi genre. I just like to tell stories, so I like taking the reading on a journey.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
“City of Toys” is my latest, it was inspired by my years as an aspiring actress with I lived in the heart of Hollywood. It is a very gritty story about the life of four young women who live there, and what they go through in their quest for fame and dreams.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Not really, I have two kids so I write when I can, I do like to have a nice quiet house though, so mostly when the house is empty and I can bond with my characters.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I fell in love with Judy Blume at a very young age. I was a little girl in the 70’s and everybody was reading her books, I think she was my first inspiration to become a writer.
What are you working on now?
My lady private eye series. I am nearly finished, but I will let you all know when I am done.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I have found that social media works best for me. I like to promote their and meet new people and readers.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Never ever give up! There is a place for every voice and every story.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
To follow your heart! I always do.
What are you reading now?
“Misery” by Stephen King. I am re-reading it actually. I adore him and his work.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I am nearly finished with the first installment of a series, another Hollywood story.
What is your favorite book of all time?
“Carrie” by Stephen King. It was his first novel, the one that he supposedly threw into the fire place and uttered the famous last words that he would never make it. It is so descriptive and he is so prolific. I don’t write horror but I am a huge fan of Mr. King.
