The Mellow Hip of the Thing is a silly, constantly 4th wall breaking parody The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring. Join Frodo, Sam and the others on a quest to find the silliest plot devices and most ridiculous wordplay. Thrill to the epic battle in the Mines of Moria. Count the orc arrows fly at Boromir after he tries to snatch the ring. Groan under the weight of a thousand terrible puns. Features frequent insanity and a large dose of wordplay.
It’s really not intended for those who take themselves (or their fiction) too seriously .:-)

Dave Seaman has been writing, blogging and reviewing for about 23 years now in one form or another. Also a game designer of point and click adventure games. Has always loved science fiction, fantasy and comedy, and most of his books are / will be somewhere within those categories, frequently combining comedy and either sci-fi / fantasy. Creator of the adventure games “Captain Disaster in Death Has a Million Stomping Boots” (due for release early in 2017) and “Troll Song” among others. Writer for “The Journey of Iesir”, which sadly never made it to full game release but many have enjoyed the demo.
I’ve largely gone away from writing in favour of game design over the years, but it’s now swinging back and I’m currently working on my first novel (a sci-fi / techno thriller).
