Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m a forty-something mum of two and I live in Spain. I’ve only written one book so far.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My first and latest book is called A Reflection of Sophie Beaumont. After moving to Spain, I had to quit my office job and read lots of books (it was a hardship!). Once the kids started school, I felt I needed something to do so I thought I would give writing a go. I was inspired with the many books I read over the summer, all very different, some good , some bad.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Not really, I just write during school hours and drink lots of tea.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
A Reflection of Sophie Beaumont was definitely inspired by Gone Girl. I loved the different perceptions of the characters and incorporated that into my book. Although, it is very different but has a strong, female character.
What are you working on now?
I’m currently working on something very different and dipping into sci-fi showing the effects of body swapping.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I haven’t got a clue yet, I’m so new to all of this. Please let me know someone!
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Just do it.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Don’t eat yellow snow.
What are you reading now?
Pretty Little Things by Gillian Hoffman
What’s next for you as a writer?
To keep writing and learn to promote (and avoid bad reviews).
What is your favorite book of all time?
Any Human Heart by William Boyd
