Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a clairvoyant medium who loves sharing spiritual readings with people. Most psychics, mediums, and other healers read in bookstores, offices, or at conferences. On the other hand, I am different in my approach in bringing my gifts to the public.
I enjoy giving spiritual guidance at amazing parties and unique events. I even sometimes take part in events which can be looked upon as controversial in the eyes of others.
So far, my weekend in Hollywood reading for costumed guests at Halloween parties sponsored by three leading magazines has to be one of the most memorable experiences so far.
RSVP from Heaven is my debut book!
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
In March 2015, my nonfiction book RSVP From Heaven will be available for readers. My clients were constantly asking me when I was going to write a book. Through the years, I’ve shared many of my true stories about my adventures with others, but never thought of writing a book.
My brother encouraged me to begin taking a journal with me and writing about my experiences. So, I stocked up on notebooks and pens from the 99 Cents Only Store and began taking them with me everywhere. I kept notes on what was going around me, the people I met, and the spiritual readings which were the basis for the book.
When I returned home, I would take my journals and type them into Word documents which are the foundations of my chapters. Yes, I’ve spent many nights typing and not going to bed until 3am!
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I love writing with the windows open. I live in Arizona so I can do this practically all year round. I also light a few guardian angel pillar candles too.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I love short stories and have several wonderful books containing a collection of some of the best written by well known authors.
What are you working on now?
I have begun writing the next book in the series. The second book, will take readers on more exciting journeys. Readers will be introduced to compelling people seeking guidance or longing to be connected guests to deceased loved ones.
Whether it’s a bachelorette party, a tattoo festival, animal shelter fund raiser, or a family reunion, you just never know where I’m going to show up next!
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I use a few social media sites for promoting my books. The main ones are Twitter and Facebook. Since I make personal appearance at numerous fairs, festivals, parties, and other events, I take the time to speak to as many people on a one to one basis when I can.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Just Write. Your first, second, or even your third draft will never be perfect. Also, talk with other authors and attend at least one conference specifically for writers and the publishing world. Be on the look out for ones held in your local area.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“Write your book how you want it to be written.”
This advice was given to me by one of my high school students. I was trying to write my book perfectly trying to please everyone which is impossible. I’ve learned to have my own voice and write in my own style.
What are you reading now?
I usually read two to three books at a time. The one I’m reading this week is A Stigmatist: Marie-Rose Ferron by Jeanne Savard Bonin.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I have begun writing the next book in the series. The second book, will take readers on more exciting journeys. Readers will be introduced to compelling people seeking guidance or longing to be connected guests to deceased loved ones.
Whether it’s a bachelorette party, a tattoo festival, animal shelter fund raiser, or a family reunion, you just never know where I’m going to show up next!
What is your favorite book of all time?
I prefer reading nonfiction books and there are too many to mention.
