Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am coffee-addict who loves to re-read Harry Potter Books 1-7 every year. I have just published my debut novel in June, a product of NaNoWriMo.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My novel is entitled “To Be Continued.” Not all stories end happily nor tragically, some of them only need to be continued. I love the idea that most of the amazing stories happen in the middle of things. After all, the highlights of our lives happen in different periods. I also like the idea of having my own coffee shop and seeing different people staying there.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I make sure I have coffee beside me…and I listen to music when I write. Erm, that is not unusual.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
J.K. Rowling and J.R.R. Tolkien have greatly inspired me. They were able to build worlds of their own, have characters that touched the lives of so many people. I am a huge YA and Fantasy fan so it is not a surprise that I love them.
What are you working on now?
Lately, I have been gathering some notes and life experiences for the sequel of “To Be Continued.” I am also trying my hands on a Fantasy novel, but I do believe I need more experience to be able to write one.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I usually send free PDF copies to enthusiastic readers. I also compare my books with other readers and authors in Goodreads and I send emails to those who share the same interests I have.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Nothing really since I am a newbie myself. Keeping a diary for years actually works though. So I guess that’s it.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Don’t talk about your writing ideas with anybody.
What are you reading now?
I try not to read anything new when I am in the process of writing my novel so I am just rereading Harry Potter. I’m that kind of boring person.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I am still keeping my blog and I am in the middle of promoting my book. I guess I just have to focus on writing the sequel of my novel.
What is your favorite book of all time?
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
The Lord of the Rings and the Twin Towers
Screwtape Letters
