Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m an erotic romance author with Boroughs Publishing Group and The Wild Rose Press. I’ve written seven books, and five of them will be releasing over the next five months.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My newest release, Flip the Beat, will release on July 10th with Boroughs Publishing Group. It will be available for pre-order soon. Check out the book trailer on YouTube! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faxzY55-rqk
Flip the Beat is a hot erotic romantic comedy, and I wrote the part of Evan with a young Jon Bon Jovi in mind. It’s a fun, sexy little book. If you like rockers and fairy tales, you’ll love Flip the Beat.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write everywhere. The carpool pickup lane at school, while grocery shopping, the kitchen counter, on top of the washing machine, while exercising, everywhere. Jeez, this sounds like a dirty confessions tape. 😉
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Stephen King is a big one. He is Brilliant with a capital B. Suzanne Collins, Marie Lu, Dean Koontz, Charles Dickens, Orson Scott Card, Jean M. Auel, Diana Gabaldon.
What are you working on now?
I’m currently writing an action/adventure lost-in-the-jungle romance novella, and also working on the sequel to my upcoming Sci-Fi release with Immortal Works. Astraeus releases on October 23rd.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Just staying in touch with readers through social media and my newsletter. I love interacting with my readers; they’re a smart, funny, neat bunch of people, and readers really breathe life into your success as an author. It’s fun to hear what people have been up to and to share the latest on my books.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Never give up. Write it, and finish it, no matter what. Don’t worry about making it perfect, just write the whole thing. Write obsessively and unapologetically.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Write away, right away.
What are you reading now?
I just finished reading Cheat Code by Aften Brook Szymanski. It was great, a really awesome read.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I have a lot of stewing manuscripts on the back burner, so more romantic goodness is headed your way! I also write Sci-Fi and stage and screen plays, so more on that over the horizon.
What is your favorite book of all time?
The Stand by Stephen King.
