Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am an Egyptian physician for the last 20 years, I had worked as well as a salesman, marketeer, manager.
I love life and I see beauty in people and their simple deeds, I feel the courage in everyday jobs and see the genius of small conversations, I find all people to be fascinating in every way.
I just finished my first book “The Trinity’s Dream” and I am working on three more, one of them will be a series.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is The Trinity’s Dream, and i actually dreamt the whole tale while i was having a fever.
I actually didn’t want to wake up, even though it was a kind of nightmare, I wanted to dream the dream till its end.
I know it seems corny, but I usually don’t remember my dreams, so the on the rare occurrence of a remembered dream I write it down.
Of course I added a lot more characters, more dialog and the necessary secret order.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I don’t write before midnight, but i have a very important reason for this, i have a 6 month old baby girl, parents can relate.
When i have a block, i eat cookies and milk, since i have the belly, white hair and beard, i think i might be African Santa’s cousin.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
The Dune series by Frank Herbert, Discworld by Terry Pratchett, any thing by Neil Gaiman, The Lord of The Rings trilogy by J. R. R. Tolkien, just to name a few, i have always prided myself in being a bookworm.
What are you working on now?
I am working on another urban fantasy with supernatural elements, it would be called the Tale of the Gates Keeper, it would be an epic, expect something around a 1000 pages.
It explores myths repeated all over the old world with links to our present.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I think your website is one of the good examples, i think the method is trying for maximum exposure, comments and people talking about the book all over the internet would sure hit right.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
I m a new author, but i am an old man, i knew a few things. Always concentrate on one story at a time, never quit it for another, try website like Wattpad or Prose to read for others and hear their comments on your work and never give up.
This is what i am doing right now.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Finish anything you started, a man is not remembered by his intentions but by his deeds.
What are you reading now?
American Gods for the seventh time.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Hopefully, success. Seriously, i hope writing would be my day job.
What is your favorite book of all time?
The Thief of Time by Terry Pratchett.
