Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
My name is Skyler Dennis. I am co-author of the bestselling book “How to Cheat Death” as well as the co-founder of the personal empowerment company, iStayWoke.
How to Cheat Death is our first hit novel and because of its success, we have decided to re-launch it for your empowerment.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
How to Cheat Death is the title of our latest work of art. It was initially inspired by our blog site, staywokeblog.com, where we humbly began to speak from the heart in an effort to just inspire a few. The blog was a massive hit internationally and we received so many questions and topics to discuss in which we realized there were a couple common virus that inhibited people in their careers, business, relationships, etc. Those were 1) fear and 2)Mindset. Through this, our goal transitioned to providing reliable and innovative strategies to make an impact on their life / business so that we can empower the mind to fight these viruses off naturally before it corrupts the system.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Not really sure what would be considered “unusual” since we are fairly new to the book writing universe. We typically like to write at night because that works best for both of our schedules and is when our creative juices flow freely.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
We each have libraries of books that have poured insights into us that helped us to make the necessary paradigm shifts. A few of them that readily come to mind are:
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, The Dream Giver by Bruce Wilkinson, The Magic of Believing by Claude Bristol and of course The Holy Bible.
What are you working on now?
We are currently working on a Top Secret, G-14 classified book that will launch in 2018. I can not say much about it because of NDA but I can say that this next book will be the most impactful book ever launched when it comes to relationships.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
We are blessed to be able to partner with Rob Kosberg and Bestseller publishing who is currently assisting us with the relaunch of our book. The tools he has connected us with are unparalleled.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
The best advice I would give is to write every single day. You have to develop the mental muscles of success but you can only do that by developing the habit of working on your craft every single moment you can.
Also, never let your success be determined by what people say. Follow that still small voice inside of you that tells you to push through even when you don’t want to because that’s the champion inside you yearning to AWAKE!!!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The best advice I have ever received is to everything I could every want or desire is on the other side of my fear. So, from that day forward, I treat life like a running back! I developed the mindset of looking for fear so I can rush right through it to get to discover my next blessing.
What are you reading now?
I literally just finished reading “What to Say when you talk to yourself” by Dr. Shad Helmstetter, Ph.D.
Always be pouring into yourself, authors, that is a major logic alert!
What’s next for you as a writer?
The next we will release is the audio book for “How to Cheat Death” so be on the look out for that. And of course, more videos, blogs and surprises soon to come. Just stay glued to our facebook:

What is your favorite book of all time?
Wow!! Now this is a rather challenging question because of all the incredible material out there. I would have to say that I am partial to stories and not non-fiction, which is probably why we designed the book like we did. So, I would have to choose “The Dream Giver”. That book continues to this day to change my life because its real. It illustrates EXACTLY what everyone goes through on their way to being great.
