Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m a new indie writer with 12 books. I published my first book in December 2014. I like writing Contemporary fiction with faith elements and sex. It’s an unusual mix, but makes for great stories.
I try to incorporate my love of God, fashion, food, wine and travel in all of my books. I love Paris and find it difficult not to include that beautiful city in every book.
I’m a romantic and like writing modern fairytales with a twist. My heroines are strong, independent women who still believe in fairytales, or at least their version of a fairytale. Instead of Prince Charming riding in on horse, he arrives in a luxury car, private jet, walking down Fifth Avenue in New York or shopping at Neiman’s.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is a novelette, THE NIGHT I FELL IN LOVE. I needed a book to fill an empty slot on my production schedule. So I prayed about it and thank God, He gave me this title and idea.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
This is a good question. I don’t think I have any unusual writing habits. I’m a pantser, which can be considered unusual.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I like books that are a combination of romance and chicklit. I recently discovered romantic suspense and really enjoy it. I would like to try my hand at writing one. I like Melody Anne, Pepper Winters, Julia Kent, Elizabeth Lennox, Jasinda Wilder, these are just a few of the ones I like.
What are you working on now?
I’m currently finishing up the last three books in my writing challenge.
The Alex Chronicles: What My Friends Need To Know
A Southern Gentleman
Desparate Desire
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I use a combination of sites and Facebook ads, as well as my blog and GoodReads.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write more books. Try to get at least three books completed before releasing your first book. That way readers will have more opportunities to get acquainted with your brand and style.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Write more books.
What are you reading now?
It’s been a desire of mine to learn French, so I’m currently reading, “Parisienne French: Chic Phrases, Slang and Style” by Rhianna Jones and “Turbulent Intentions” by Melody Anne.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Writing more books. This year I challenged myself to write 12 Titles in 12 Months. A few of those books are the first books or books in existing series. So next year, I plan on adding to those series.
What is your favorite book of all time?
That’s a good question. I really don’t have one. I’ve read quite a few books and there are so many I want to read, that I really can’t answer that question.
