Parenting is one of the most rewarding jobs in the world, but also one of the most difficult. After realizing that day drinking didn’t seem to help me navigate this new world of tantrums, illogical reasoning and the excessive energy that was required to keep the little suckers alive, I resorted to mindfulness. I had used mindfulness and meditation to help me navigate a ten year battle with chronic fatigue syndrome and decided to implement those tools with my unruly pair. It was tiring at first, and I often wanted to throw in the towel, but the results were house-transforming. Calmer, more focused and happier children emerged from my new, super mom-mothering skills. I mean, they could have put me on a show!
I love to write and am always sharing parenting tips with other frazzled moms, so decided to pen those gems and share what I had learnt. This stuff was too good to hold onto.
