Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I was in the Navy on board the USS Kitty-Hawk. I have four children.
I have two books out on Amazon. I have had numerous short stories published. I love the Dachshund breed. I love Minnesota.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Dachshund Immortal. In 2009 while driving truck for a window factory my mother called to inform me that her wiener dog, ‘Reba’ of sixteen years had died. The night before I had finished reading about my favorite literary character, “The Portrait of Dorian Gray” by Oscar Wilde, this lead me to start thinking about what if a dog were unable to die. Would it eventually be able to understand English?
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I like listening to water, youtube.com has lots of video’s of this.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Oscar Wilde, Stephen King, Ben Shapiro, Andrew Klavan.
Cujo is a particular favorite.
What are you working on now?
Hopefully a part II to “The Ruins”, it’s about a highly carnivores plant.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Pretty-Hot works very good!!
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write every day, any job that you love doing isn’t a job at all.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Stephen Kings book, “On Writing” is a gold mine!!
What are you reading now?
Tucker Carlson’s “Ship of Fools”
What’s next for you as a writer?
I think a Halloween version of the Jumanji/Zathura series is due but I haven’t worked it all out yet.
What is your favorite book of all time?
If I had to pick just one it would probably be, “From a Buick 8”.
