Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
They call me The People Pastor. I am a family guy and I love promoting family values in everything I do. I am a magician, ventriloquist, and public speaker. I have written two children’s books, Daddy Can I Go Fishing and The Yellow One-Eyed Monster. I officiate several funerals each year and write a custom poem for each one. I completed a book of original poetry using those poems, Custom Funeral Poetry. I have written a step by step manual book on how to conduct funeral services, Memorials to Remember. The first book I wrote was based on the principles and truths my Dad taught me at a place we called The Dead End Road, The Dead End Road Devotional. I currently have a book at my editor entitled Butterscotch. It is a book about keeping your eyes on the Master.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The Yellow One-Eyed Monster is my latest book. It is a true story from my childhood and my fear of being in the dark. As you can imagine, my fear had me thinking the worse about every sound, every flash of light, and every breeze. The yellow one-eyed monster was real, elusive, and scary. At one point I screamed, and my parents came running. Finally, they saw it too…This book is written in rhythmic poetry.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
My favorite writing happens when I take a month of vacation in Florida. I write from eight to twelve hours each day. It helps me to really focus on the objective of completing the book.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Chandler Bolt from Self Publishing School, in his book, Published, said something that moved me beyond writing and rewriting chapter one. He said, “published is better than perfect.” I knew he was right.
