This is the third book in the Ken Ross Romantic/Erotic Suspense Series. WARNING: this book is shocking, in more ways than one. After WASTED PAIN & PROTECTION comes the climax to the story of Jerry and his gals. They’re settled in a house, enjoying what’s always been at the center of their lives, until Jerry has an indiscretion, and then… hey, things get a whole lot worse. One blunder, a major shock, and then they head to the greatest shock of their lives. Although they’ve thought sex is everything, they eventually learn that there is no sex without freedom. Who survives to the last page? This story is not for the fainthearted, or for those searching for sweetness and light. It’s damned shocking. It’s sizzling hot. Its characters are even hotter.

I began writing as a ten year old in York with my first book review in the Young Yorkist’s Magazine. By my late teens and early twenties I was well into poetry, occasionally having poems published, and later magazine articles and loads of odd bits and bats. I suppose my breakthrough came in the late 1980s when I was commissioned to write children’s books for Henderson Publishing’s Funfax series. After over twenty books, and Henderson’s takeover, I did little for a number of years until the urge to write rose again. I began self-publishing, non-fiction, children’s books, and a few meaningless books that fulfilled the urge to write. But as I get older I get more committed to work. In the past years I’ve hardly paused for breath. As well as writing under another name, my last four novels by Ken Ross are certainly the best of my works, although some later children’s books are not too bad, especially Dear Dr Cornflake. I wrote The Lads Will have Blood which got me back into the flow. This was followed by A Cross of Crocuses which has received excellent reviews, and then ANN – irresistible spirit, also collecting reviews better than I could have hopes for. Things are going well. I’m now getting lots of sales and book downloads. And presently I’ve just released my first American-style novel WASTED PAIN, which I’m waiting to see how it goes down. Fingers crossed. I’m planning another novel in my head which I hope to commence work on in the next week or two and complete inside a few weeks. Writing is great fun, and I love living with the characters I create. It is sad when they leave me.
