Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I have written over 30 books. First for traditional publishers like Kensington Books and Harlequin. Now, I publish my work myself.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My upcoming title is Craving Jake (Return to Welcome Book 3). It will be released in September!
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I keep nail polish on my desk…you never know when a girl will need it and if I paint my nails, the keyboard won’t smudge the lacquer.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Linda Howard made me see how much fun I could have writing romance.
What are you working on now?
My Return to Welcome series is set in a fictional town where people as not as welcome to return as you’d think. The good people of Welcome have long memories and hold grudges and are not above nasty gossip. My characters have a lot of work to do if they dare return. (And they find love!)
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I love using sites like Pretty-Hot and Awesome Gang to promote my books. Readers in the know get newsletters that showcase the best deals in romance.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Keep writing and always study the craft. Every book you write should be better than the one before.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Study study study the craft of writing.
What are you reading now?
I’ve just finished a sweet and clean western romance. I wondered if I could write a book without love scenes. Nope! Not for me.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I plan to continue my series Return to Welcome with a Christmas set story I’m tentatively calling Claiming Shandy. (Or: Christmas in Welcome…or?)
What is your favorite book of all time?
Impossible to answer. I love books!
