Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m a young girl of 16, who’s written a book named Soul Spoken. I am a pretty boring person, and I’m sure you don’t want to know how boring I can be.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My book’s name is Soul Spoken.
The core of idea is that teenagers, as a whole, are misinterpreted and incorrectly put up in literature. I want to clear that.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I usually sit by a given window or at one of the two ‘writing spots’ I have.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I’ve been influenced by all that I’ve read. More than books, it’s been the real experiences of people around me that have been the main inspiration.
What are you working on now?
I’m currently working on a nationalist romance, which doesn’t feature a war.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Instagram is a great way to promote your writings. It harbours a good number of readers and the easy-to-use interface makes the discoverablity better.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Just 3 words, believe in yourself.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
My mom once said this to me, “If someone can, why not you?”.
What are you reading now?
The Twentieth Wife by Indu Sunderesan.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Right now, I’m looking at a lot of unwritten books in my head. I find my speed of writing very slow as compared to my speed of idea creation. I might even end up taking a lot of stories to my funeral pyre, but let’s just hope that never happens.
What is your favorite book of all time?
The Mahabharata by Ved Vyas.
