Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I published my first fiction book in 2019, before that I published two non-fiction books.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
White Hat Black Heart. I wanted to teach young adults cybersecurity concepts in a fun and engaging way.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write every day, it is not always at the same time of day but I make the effort.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and Robert Jordan were early influencers.
What are you working on now?
The sequel for White Hat Black Heart. It will continue the Cyber Teen Project. It will introduce additional Cybersecurity, and social issues that kids should really know about.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I find that e-mail list and my Facebook group for the Cyber Teen Project helped a lot.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Be consistent with your writing and be true to yourself. My method is writing books that I would want to read.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Write things you know something about, if you know about cars but want to write fiction you can write about killer cars, race car drivers, etc.

Permanent Record by Edward Snowden
What’s next for you as a writer?
Interaction fiction is something I’m eager to try out. I’m setting up games related to Cybersecurity on my website which I plan to launch sometime in 2020.
What is your favorite book of all time?
The Stand by Stephen King because of the sheer complexity and deep connections between all of the characters, even the bad ones.
