Danger in the Rain: A Ted Danger Mystery by Douglas Boatman
April 16 through 20, 2021, just .99
Nicki Vavul brought the rain, but Ted Danger didn’t care. She was the perfect client. Chic as hell, loaded with cash, and desperate for a private eye. Not to mention a little bit crazy.
Find the perv in the snapshot, she says. This goon, right here, preening on the beach with her pre-teen daughter. Both of them grinning like lunatics. And naked as slugs.
The red-eye to Pompano thrusts Ted into a weird sub-tropical odyssey of conspiracy and lost innocence, testing his will and warping his mind, as he battles foes both sinister and ridiculous.
With the timely help of a badass bonobo named Boyce, Ted will uncover mysteries of time and nature, and secrets from decades past. Before his journey ends, he’ll learn a shocking truth about himself that will change his life forever.

Author Bio:
Douglas Boatman grew up in a small town near Dayton, Ohio. He fled briefly to south Florida, working in theater management (think Shaft, Cleopatra Jones, and Truck Turner) and mortuary maintenance (the on-site apartment provided instant commutes and utterly quiet neighbors).
He’s currently back in the Midwest, where he lives the good life with his wife, dog, and requisite cats. And dreams, at times, of sunshine and palms . . . and waves that glisten, crest, and break, and paint the sand with fleeting sheets of foam.
