Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
My name is Dixita Galiyal and I was born in Thane, Mumbai (India) and I grew up in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh. I did her graduation in Instrumentation & Control Engineering in 2014 from Gujarat Technological University (GTU), India. For the last 5 years, I’ve worked mainly in SAP Industry where my forte is. I’m the author of the book, Online Marketing HACKS, which is my first ever book published on Amazon. After the graduation, I’d developed websites for various healthcare and manufacturing clients based in US, worked on SAP Live projects with individual clients in South Wales, Montreal and London. Besides being a tech-savvy, I’m an outdoor sports junkie, love reading and am a dog person!
I’m a vivid reader and love reading Fiction, Non-Fiction, Technologies, Sci-Fi, Electronic Gadgets, Autobiographies and Business Magazines.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The name of my book is Online Marketing HACKS. I always wanted to pen down my thoughts, my skills and my knowledge that I’ve gained and learnt over the years. That’s the reason why I wrote this book and want to share my secret hacks that I’ve tested and implemented myself in the last 10 years.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
No, I don’t think so. But yes, I write down whenever a thought strikes my mind, no matter where I am.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I always go by the book, instead of the authors, because I’m into stories! Some of the books that influenced me in my life, have to be romance fiction and thrillers.
What are you working on now?
I’m an Entrepreneur and currently, I’m working on my digital enterprise called, SAP Expert Solutions. Thus, I work there full-time.
Writing is something I do for myself, to express my feelings and speak my mind!
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Pretty-Hot.com was referred to me by one of my friends, 2 years ago. Since then, I’ve always looked up to this site for book promotions!
Do you have any advice for new authors?
I’d say just be yourself, your original self. Sometimes, trying to be someone else or being just pretentious doesn’t help even if his/her story is really amazing.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
One of the best advices that I’ve heard is: “What screws up the most in life is the picture in our head of how it is supposed to be”.
What are you reading now?
I usually read a couple of books simultaneously. Thus, some of my current reads are as follows:
1. Me Before You by JoJo Moyes
2. Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
3. The Inheritance of Loss by Kiran Desai
What’s next for you as a writer?
I’m working on my second book right now.
What is your favorite book of all time?
My favorite book of all times has to be, The Immortals of Mehula by Amish.
