Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m an author of rock star-themed contemporary and paranormal romance. Writing has been my passion for many years. Growing up as an only child, I had to get good at using my imagination. I had no idea a creative monster was in the works, lol.
I love penning a good, sexy romance that will stir emotions and tantalize the senses. Currently, I have four published series with a total of ten books. Before 2018 ends, I will have 12 published books.
Aside from writing, I love chatting with readers, listening to music, and most of all, spending time with my family here in Northeast Kentucky. I’m proud to say I’m the mother of four children, the mother of two fur babies, and one lucky wife. My husband is my hero and has been for 15 years.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Love Desired: Rock-N-Roll Heiress, Book One, is my latest book. Inspiration came to me for this book many years ago, and like most of my books, it all began with a song. Music inspires me more than anything to write. When I originally began this story, the entire book was set to a playlist, and each chapter/scene had around 1-3 songs that went along with it. Now, that one book has transformed into three. As you can imagine, my playlist for this series has a lot of songs. 168 to be exact.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Not really. Occasionally I’ll write on my iPhone, but I wouldn’t consider that unusual. I like to get up in the mornings and have a cup of coffee before I sit down to write. And I need someplace quiet. Yes, music inspires my writing, but I can’t focus with noise in the background.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
J. R. R. Tolkien, PC & Kristen Cast, Johanna Lindsey, and Stephen King. I read a lot of non fiction too, but that list is extremely long.
What are you working on now?
I just finished revisions on Book Two of my Rock-N-Roll Heiress series. I will begin writing Book Three beginning August 27th, 2018. I’m super excited to get the series finished, but I do have a prequel duet planned for early next year, along with a co-author project with my friend and critique partner, Author Elena Gray.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Promotion sites have been on the decline, so I really enjoy promoting and communicating with my newsletter subscribers, as well as my street team. I was lucky to land a BookBub Deal once, and it was absolutely amazing. Nothing can compare. I also like Ereader News Today, and of course, Pretty-Hot.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write every day, even on days you would rather do something else. If you have a huge to-do list, you can always squeeze in some writing. What helps me is doing 20-minute writing sprints. I can get in anywhere from 2-6k words a day just by doing sprints. On average, I write around 1k words an hour, sometimes more if I’m ‘in the zone’.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“Never worry about the delay of your success compared to others, because construction of a palace takes more time than an ordinary building.”

What are you reading now?
I’m currently reading a non-fiction book, #LifeBoss by Andie M. Long. It’s inspiring.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Finishing my Rock-N-Roll Heiress series, the prequel, and a co-authoring a book. I also plan to finish the final book in my Soulmate Series as well. I’m kind of dreading the last one because this series is special to me. So are the characters.
What is your favorite book of all time?
‘The Devil Who Tamed Her’ by Johanna Lindsey. For some reason, that one has always resonated with me.
