About Last Waltz in Blossom Inlet by Sandra Bass Joines
Welcome to Blossom Inlet, where memories are made and secrets are protected.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to reconnect with your first love? To rekindle young, forbidden passion that once burned as fierce as molten lava and melted every fiber of your being.
Set in a small village along the Forgotten Coast of Florida, Book 2 in the Blossom Inlet Series, is a dual timeline family drama that follows Izzy and Teddy’s lives from the 1950s and 60s when their love was innocent and intense, through their painful loveless years without each other, to the present when a second chance at love stares them in the face.
Izzy Van Leer didn’t choose a life without love. Blossom Inlet chose that curse for her, just as it had for her mother and grandmother.
Fast forward sixty years after Teddy shattered her teenage heart. He stands on Izzy’s doorstep, asking for a second chance and refusing to leave until she hears him out.
She doesn’t want to believe the sheer number of letters he wrote and the phone calls he made, until an image of her controlling mother flashes through her mind.
While old feelings of heartbreak and bitterness resurface, Izzy must decide whether to choose love before it’s too late or fulfill her destiny of a loveless life by sending Teddy away.
But… it’s never too late for love.

As a young girl, I was just as excited to sit on the porch reading Nancy Drew books as I was shooting marbles and playing ball with the neighborhood kids.
My love of reading grew into writing silly stories to give as presents to my parents and siblings. My childhood stories became novels, and at sixty-five, I published my first book.
I love to write about women in difficult situations who scratch and claw to take back their lives. When the time is right. When they can. Family drama. Domestic abuse. Control. Loss. Addiction. And I can’t leave out dark secrets, can I? And love. There has to be love.
Since I grew up in Northwest Florida, Southern humor finds its way into my stories that are set in small towns along the Forgotten Coast of Florida.
I currently live in the foothills near Denver with my family. No dog. No cat. Just a bunch of friendly squirrels, rabbits, and chipmunks. And my trusty computer upon which my fingers travel fast and furious writing my next novel.
