Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Hello! My name is Lennie, and I’m a self-published horror writer. 😀 I love reading and writing, of course, collecting books, and going to book signings. I love pizza, coffee, and animals. My favorite genres to read are horror, mystery & thriller, fantasy, and manga.
So far, I’ve written one novel, a collection of three short stories, another short story, and a novella.
I’m really to share my art with everyone!
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
my latest work is a short story called “The Broken Hearted Bride”. I haven’t really thought about what inspired me to write it, but it was most likely watching reruns of “Deadly Women” on Hulu. I love crime shows, and I usually put them on for background noise while I do housework.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
my most unusual writing habit is probably where I get my ideas. I love writing prompts. Any time I come across one I like, I’ll write it down, so I can remember it for later. hopefully, it turns out useful in coming up with a jumping off point for a new story.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
A writer on Wattpad, believe it or not. 😀 I found a writing prompt that suggested you write a Christmas themed horror story. I gave it a try, and I realized how much I loved writing horror stories.
Almost as much as I love writing Fanfiction. (but let’s not talk about my embarrassing fanfics, lol.)
What are you working on now?
Right now, I’m working on a novella with the working title of “She watches you sleep.” I’m hoping to have it out within the next month or two. 😀
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Facebook groups and goodreads. 😀 I love seeing when I get a new review.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Keep writing and always write what you love. 😀 And of course, read! Read not only in your own genre but also branch out into new ones. expand your horizons. 😀
be positive and kind, even when it feels like no one will like your stories. If even one or two people enjoyed something you wrote, that’s a success! Be happy someone out there got a little joy and entertainment from your artwork. 😀
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Just keep swimming.
What are you reading now?
Scowl: The Bonaparte Interviews by Mark Lages. It’s the first book I’ve read by the author and I’m really liking it. 😀
What’s next for you as a writer?
Finishing my novella and starting work on my second novel.
What is your favorite book of all time?
Don’t make me choose!
It’s probably “The Books of Elsewhere by Jacqueline West. I read the series once or twice a year.
