Alvin Hawkins is a poet, urban fiction writer, and founder of the Hawkeye Vision Publishing imprint. He created the imprint to promote and encourage literacy in the urban communities.
A professionally trained electrician and plumber born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Alvin has spent the last decade writing essays, letters, poetry, and urban fiction that gives his characters a palpable, down to earth feel and spark that only experience can deliver.
