Light and Time – when and how did they start? More importantly, will time outlast light, or light outlast time? What was time like in the beginning? Do physicists and theologians really know? What is the meaning of six days? How does one measure time? At the end of time, will there be a new beginning? Meanwhile, during the interaction of light and time, how did light come to be so powerful that darkness always recedes when light arrives? And what are some of the intricacies of light and darkness – in the physical and in the metaphysical? Components of light and darkness in the physical carry profound analogies to light and darkness in the metaphysical.
Author W. Charles Drewitz engages cosmology, philosophy and theology to ensure a broad perspective on the interplay between light and time. How do the concept of time, the measure of time, and the exchange of light and darkness affect matter and connect with humanity? Physical cosmos meets theological logos. And the metaphysical demands a conversation as well. If you like to reflect upon the big questions affecting planet earth, including humanity and deity, you are invited to join in on the conversations in Light Astonishes Time.

Author Bio:
W. Charles Drewitz was introduced to quantum mechanics while studying for his Engineering degree. He then went on to attain his Juris Doctor. There he learned that all contributing factors should be examined and cross-examined in order to formulate a comprehensive position on a particular issue. Whether practising law or serving in non-profit organizations, whether settling complex conflicts or advising a constitutional committee, Drewitz has always asked penetrating questions while scrutinizing issues from various perspectives. In the last few years, he has studied and researched the confluence of cosmology, philosophy and theology. Contemplating those three disciplines can help formulate a balanced worldview. In Light Astonishes Time, Drewitz invites readers to join in on conversations which four people are having as they deliberate on the physical and metaphysical aspects of light, darkness and time.
What does he do after a long day of researching and writing? Because he loves football, he heads outside to jog several miles, all the while throwing a football several yards ahead and then catching it in full stride. One such jog will comprise about 150 throws and catches. This extraordinary love for football is evidenced by framed letters he has from 3 NFL clubs.
