Lilura Sloane wants you to fall in love with idea of being in love.
She has always had a romantic persona and believes that anyone can find love if they first love themselves, she writes romantic fantasy because even as a adult she still sees the magic that the world has to offer.
Even in the dark, light can shine
I’ve been an avid reader since I was little, I’ve always had a fond interest in books, I have been writing stories since I was a teenager, when I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2019 I really got stuck into writing and finally wrote and published my first book in 2021
I have currently wrote 14 books to date, with more planned for the rest of this year moving into 2023.
Books I’ve wrote:
Under her spell ( wicked desires #1 )
Sinful Duty (wicked desires #2 )
Taming Skye (wicked desires #3 )
Falling for the wolf (fated #1 )
Beauty and the vampire ( fated #2 )
Temptation ( temptation #1 )
The roommate
Winds of eternal ( immortals #1 )
Wicked Hex ( saints and sinners #1 )
Midlife whatever ( swing club #1 )
Reaper and the rose ( gods & monsters #1 )
Blood curse ( immortal touch #1 )
Hunter ( hunted by you #1 )
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Hunter— Hunter is a forbidden romance, as a romance writer I wanted to broach a forbidden romance with a twist, the start of the book came to me in a dream, isn’t that where we all get our brilliant ideas, when we dream or when we daydream, it’s just like lucid dreaming, we never understand the ideas to come, they just do, there’s something poetic about creativity.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I’m not sure I’d call it unusual however, I don’t have a note board with lots of notes, I don’t plan out a plot line, I like the story to write its self and then it’s even a surprise for me ( haha ) my books start with a simple idea and the characters and storyline just flow as I write.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I’m not sure, to be honest for my genre there are no authors that have influenced my writing, however I do love Stephen king, his writing is so profound, his books were that good they used to give me nightmares (haha)
What are you working on now?
I’m working on a Christmas special from my wicked desires series that will be book #4 the characters all come together in a Christmas special.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I honestly don’t have a method, my books are uploaded to the many popular sites, I am active on Facebook and Instagram and update my followers regularly, I also have an ARC team that review my newest upcoming books.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
The best advice I could give is to just write, I know that seems pretty simple but there is no such thing as a bad book, after all the most important thing is starting and finishing a manuscript, worry about polishing it up once it’s completed, just write, you never know who needs to hear your voice.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
You are not a writer when you become a best seller, you are a writer when you start writing.
What are you reading now?
The institute by Stephen King
Did I mention I’m a huge king fan!
What’s next for you as a writer?
Carry on writing haha, but in all seriousness, I will continue to write because it brings me joy, I’m the most happiest when writing a book, there’s just something so cathartic about creating characters and scenes to create a brand new world, after all writing is like life, we start on a blank page, but as we go on, there is a new adventure waiting on the next page.
What is your favorite book of all time?
Alice in wonderland—it’s just such an amazing story full of magic and possibilities.
