Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a author and artist who holds a Master of Art degree from CSU, Los Angeles and the recipient of a National Endowment for Arts Fellowship. My artwork has been in solo and group exhibitions world-wide. As a Professor of Art and curator I have organized hundreds of exhibitions involving artists, collectors and a variety of related enthusiasts. Those many experiences and my ongoing personal art activities inform my creative mystery writing about LA’s exciting art community.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My debut novel is Brushed Off. It was inspired by my love of contemporary mystery novels set within a major city.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I do not write chapter or plot outlines prior to beginning to write.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Dashiell Hammett, Raymond Chandler, Ross McDonald, Walter Mosley and many other contemporary noir writers.
What are you working on now?
The sequel to Brushed Off.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Mostly social media.

Write what you want to read.

I’ve been writing short story prequels to Brushed Off which will be given away free to those who buy the book and post a review on social media.
