Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am an Engineer with dreams of really making an impact in the world with my words.
I have written two books, a full length novel and a novella (the novella is almost finished, with the final refinements in progress).
I am most interested in what is really happening in the world, minus the illusions.
I am an Engineer in my day job, and a writer in my spare time. It’s good how the logic of my day job mixes with the emotional skills of writing.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Too Much is inspired by the excesses of current society, and explores many of the left field topics usually dodged by the mainstream media (for fear of exposing the truth). Topics such as consumerism, porn, love, lust, grief and anxiety.
I expose the truth as much as possible through my writing, and aim to find the true root cause of the problem that lies underneath the daily symptoms.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I like to use strange metaphors sometimes.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Jack Kerouac- On the Road
Hunter S. Thompson- Kingdom Of Fear
Emmett Grogan- Ringolevio
Any of the beat stuff works as it aims at the truth and nothing else.
What are you working on now?
Finishing off my novella on the underground British club culture
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I am currently exploring the best ways to promote but I have an idea of where to head…explore the ideal outlets that match your passions. Don’t sell out to get sales. Always aim with your interests and your true dreams in mind.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write. If you have a passion. Write. If you have things you want to say. Write.
Get some of those small Moleskines and keep them in your pocket with a pen at all times. Who knows when your latest inspiration will strike? Having the intention to write something is enough.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Keep going
What are you reading now?
Just finished the Tibetan Book Of The Dead (everyone should read this). Re-reading “You Can Heal Your Life” by Louise Hay- very enlightening.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Continue writing, with the aim of constantly delving deeper to figure out what this (life) is all about…too many people have become distracted, and I aim to provide a new perspective from which to view.
What is your favorite book of all time?
Hunter S. Thompson’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas; you can read and re-read this and it never gets boring.
