Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Hi There! I am an author hailing from West Bengal, India. I have a doctor’s degree in Ophthalmology from the topmost medical institutes in India. Despite all success in the medical field, writing and motivational speaking really is my soul’s real calling.
This book ‘Quiet Screams to the Quiet Healer’ is my debut book. I am writing a second one titled “Whispers That Want to Say Goodbye: Healing Adults Who Witnessed Domestic Violence as a Child”. The third book I am writing is a fiction story about a Japanese foreign national student in the topmost medical institute in India.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
This is my first book. It is titled ‘Quiet Screams to the Quiet Healer’.
Multiple Events Inspired It–I have spent my whole childhood watching my mother being emotionally and physically abused by my father. Also, I have seen my best friend battling the pain of watching her father die of kidney failure and alongside being physically tortured at school for trivial issues. I have watched myself and my own friends in real life battle enormous Indian societal resistance against intercultural marriage. I have watched my own brother pushed into a career he never watched to pursue. I have watched a dear friend’s mother die a very unexpected death simply because she was too hesitant to tell the world about the breast cancer she was harbouring. I have watched two other friends (younger than me) whose father had mistreated their mother before their very own eyes and divorced her, forcing the kids to life that is motherless. All these events inspired me to write my debut novel.
It’s not all bad. There are cheerful events in it too. 🙂
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Yes. I like juxtaposing a normal scene in real life with a random, untoward fiction world and using this mixture to highlight abusive stories from real life (either mine or of others I have come by)
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Many.
I am hugely, enormously influenced by “Conversation With God” by Neale Donald Walsh,
by the

Don’t chase fame. Do what you love 🙂 and let life chase you 😉
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“Whatever the hell you do on this planet, you will die, so then why not risk everything to make each and every dream come true? :)”

Breaking the Habit of Yourself by Dr. Joe Dispenza
What’s next for you as a writer?
Promoting my current book and completing my next one and promoting that as well
What is your favorite book of all time?
Very Difficult question.
There are so many that I love in so many different ways.
Anyways, if I have to pick one it still has to be “Conversations With God” by Neale Donald Walsh. This was the book where my ideas about sex changed, this was the book that led me to understand the every aspect of my life was a lie, this was the book that helped me open my third eye. This was the book where I couldn’t tell the different between myself and Neale because it didn’t seem like a conversation between him and God. It was more like a conversation between me and God.
