Kim graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, United States majoring in Political Science, minoring in History and Sociology and focusing his studies in Gerontology. After moving to the Southwest, he completed the requirements for a Master’s Degree in Social Work at the Tempe Campus of Arizona State University.
Mr. Hunter’s diverse background includes counseling, hospice care, homelessness, human rights, HIV education and testing, LGBT advocacy, teaching, and work with people facing life challenging illnesses including cancer and hemophilia.
He is currently hunkered down in Cambodia during the CoViD-19 Pandemic after serving most of the past eight years as an English Teacher with children and young adults from poor families living in the rural and mountainous areas of Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos.
Kim has a passion for expressing his voice through the writing of children’s books and poetry. This book is a compilation of poems written in his younger years with reflections on the inspiration for many of the poems.
