About Our Next Dance
Born and raised in Plymouth, Minnesota, Becca Cooper is a skilled ballet dancer who struggles with a secret that could shatter her life. Plagued by debilitating visions of a ballerina named Cassandra, the seventeen-year-old begins to discover her truth in the pages of a dusty old diary. When Becca realizes there is more to her crush, Caleb, than meets the eye, they team up to turn back the hands of time and seek justice for an incomprehensible crime. This enchanting story alludes to the supernatural but hits the ground running with so much suspense and emotion that the dusting of paranormal activity is only a delicious bonus!

Hello, my name is Carrie Atkins and I am a Registered Nurse who loves writing! I live in Reno, Nevada and work for Renown Hospital. I love my job, love my coworkers, and am proud to work for one of the most caring hospital systems in the country. My husband and I have three sweetheart daughters and three funny cats. Through the years, we have moved to several different states. Because I left a little piece of my heart in Plymouth, Minnesota and in Sarasota, Florida, I guess Our Next Dance helped fill the void.
I have always been interested in writing and even had my own little library of sorts in grade school. Basically, I wrote short stories, constructed the books with a cardboard backing, and checked them out to my classmates; a class favorite was “The Haunted Playground.”
I love writing fiction weaved with real life events so when I decided to write a Young Adult, Crossover novel, it made sense to take the strangest experience of my entire life and blow it up into one big crazy story. My boyfriend (now husband) and I were attending a production of the San Francisco Nutcracker Ballet when I unexpectedly experienced a flashback that, to this day, still haunts me.
Best Regards,
Carrie Atkins
