Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I live in Cornwall, England with my husband and son. I have two books already published with The Wild Rose Press, ad the third is coming out in February. There is a fourth in The NightHawk Series, that is currently with my editor. I have also completed a fifth book that is unconnected with series.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The book I’m currently writing doesn’t have a name yet. I usually find the names come to me about half way through the book. With my first book, Storm Rising, the name is the name of a song written by the main male character.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I do quite a lot of writing late at night, and have completed some of my favourite scenes between two and four in the morning.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Daphne du Maurier is my favourite author and she was the person who inspired me to write. I also love Kate Atkinson’s works.
What are you working on now?
I’ve just started a sequel to my fifth book – unpublished as yet. Like most of my books it features a present day story and a related flashback story.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I used Twitter a lot, and Facebook, along with Goodreads.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Just don’t give up. You will get lots of rejections but eventually you’ll get there. Don’t let it get you down and submit to as many people as possible.
What are you reading now?
Kate Atkinson’s Emotionally Weird (love this)
Shopaholic to the Stars by Sophie Kinsella
What’s next for you as a writer?
I’d like to do a fifth book in the NightHawk Series, but at present I’m doing a sequel to my fifth book. I’m also having a go at a Chick Lit novel.
What is your favorite book of all time?
Frenchman’s Creek by Daphne du Maurier
