Mavery Ellscott’s first serious foray into writing was NOT as a thriller author. It was a journalistic undertaking.
Not one to shy away from a challenge, she convinced a neighbor to help her write and publish a newspaper. A pretty big endeavor for an eight-year-old armed with a bunch of scrap paper and her dad’s old typewriter. Total circulation – two. Fortunately, her later publications fared better.
