An adventure-seeking elf and his unusual best friend get sent on the adventure that they have dreamed of since childhood – only to find that adventures are truly littered with dangers and heartache. Will their will, their friendship, and their home survive their quest?
Led by the mildly curmudgeonly, sarcastic, and humorous Creator of their world, the chosen pair will travel the path of life, and learn much that they thought they knew, and many things that they never knew to begin with – of love, friendship, identity, and reality.
In the words of the Omniscient narrator of the story, “Does any journey ever truly end?”. Get your copy today, and find out for yourself.
I was born in 1996, in the small town of Dundee, South Africa – to which my mother had fled to safeguard both our lives against the threats of a belligerent and abusive Father. Not long after, we moved back to the Coastal city of Richards Bay to stay with my grandparents. We moved there, that is, only to find that my odd movement and strange behaviour were the result of being born with Cerebral Palsy.
After the diagnosis, a severe regime of exercise and physical therapy was created to rebuild the neural pathways in my brain. 8-9 hours of exercise each day would be my lot for the next 9 years, with occasional visits from an absent father – both of which led to a need for escape: an escape which was found in the works of prodigious authors such as C.S. Lewis, H.G. Wells, and J.R.R. Tolkien. I vowed to myself that, some day, I would create a world of mystery, intrigue, and wonder that could become an escape for others that needed one as much as I had. Now, I happily am the author of the first of those worlds: Terralumis.
May your worlds always be bigger than reality,
