Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am from Nova Scotia, Canada and the youngest of 4 children. At 6 months old, I was adopted by my family.
From the time I was 12, I have been writing, everything from short stories to poetry. Thankfully, I had teachers who encouraged my creativity and allowed me to pursue my passion.
At this point, I have 9 books published. I am working on a self-awareness book as well as a memoir.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is Believe Me: The Story of a Narcissist. The goings-on in the United States was the inspiration for the main character, Kennedy Kilpatrick.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Not sure if this is unusual but, I like to put pen to paper and then type it into my computer. Once entered, I do my editing and sometimes edit as I am inputting.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Robertson Davies, Alden Nowlan and Jim Morrison are two major influences. I find their writing intriguing and thought-provoking.
What are you working on now?
I am currently working on a memoir and a self-awareness book.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I really don’t have one. I will try anything once.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Keep going. It’s tough and family members are the worst critics. If you believe in yourself, don’t let anyone tell you it can’t be done.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
It’s not where you are; it’s where you’re at.

What’s next for you as a writer?
Hopefully, one of my books being turned into a movie.

What’s Bred in the Bone by Robertson Davies.
