Venkatesh Prasad is a Graphic & Brand Designer and author based in India. He works with businesses to create clear and consistent visual identities through branding, logo design, and marketing creatives. Alongside his design work, he writes about design, human behavior, and real-world observations. He has written three books: How to Stand Out as a Designer, Fear of Chaar Log, and Inside Lock.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is Inside Lock. It was inspired by my interest in horror stories, folklore, unexplained incidents, and the psychology of fear.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I spend a lot of time observing and thinking before I start writing. Many ideas come from everyday situations and conversations.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I am influenced more by ideas, real experiences, psychology, and personal development books than any single author.
What are you working on now?
I am continuing my work in design while exploring ideas for future books, articles, and research-based writing.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Creating content consistently on platforms like LinkedIn, Medium, and my website has worked best for me.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Start writing before you feel ready. Finishing a book is more important than waiting for perfection.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
You do not need permission to begin.
What are you reading now?
I am currently reading books and articles related to design, creativity, psychology, and personal growth.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I plan to continue writing books based on observation, experience, creativity, and real-world learning.
What is your favorite book of all time?
I do not have a single favorite book. I enjoy books that change the way I think and see the world.
