Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Well, lets see, something about me. Most people say I was deemed to be a writer. I love telling stories or shall I say when I’m explaining something, I have to give complete details and descriptions. Okay that makes getting to point longer, but after I’m done the person enjoyed it.
I have written two and half books, but published one. My next novel will be released Spring of 2020!
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book re-released-Indiscretions was inspired from friends and hearsay from victims of abuse. Indiscretions, deals with a woman-Casey, faced with loving and honoring her vows to her abusive husband. What she learns is her self-worth and peace of mind is the most important. She has to make the decision to walk tall, find her inner-strength, and restore her inner being.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I think my unusual writing habits are: I don’t follow an outline and I must have music playing.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I like Stephen King. Though, I am an contemporary, romance writer, I love how Stephen King writes. His books are so descriptive to the point, I cringe or cover my mouth with disbelief. I also am a big fan of Terry McMillan, Susan Mary Malone, and more.
What are you working on now?
Right now, I’m preparing for my next novel Tangled Web to release in the Spring of 2020. I’m currently writing my third book, which brings characters from all three books together.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
When I first published Indiscretions in 2006, social media was not popular. Now, that I have decided to re-release it in eBook, oh my, I had to learn all the lingo and which sites works best. I use Facebook and Instagram the most. Twitter, I get lost in all the feeds, but I’m working on that. At least I have my book cover and description pinned to my home page.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Keep writing and write what YOU love.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The best advice or shall I say a quote from another author, Zane, “For the 100 that doesn’t like your book, 10,000 will like it.” Something along those lines, she said.
What are you reading now?
I started reading, One Ghost In Four Graves: A Halloween Anthology.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I want to keep writing intriguing stories that can uplift and inspire others.
What is your favorite book of all time?
Wow, this is hard, but I’m going to stay Stephen King’s, Desperation.
