Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Graduated from the Buffalo Academy for the Visual and Performing Arts High School, majoring in music. Received honorable mentions in the New York/Beach Book Festival and the Hollywood/Pacific Book Festival from JM Northern Media for Scandalous Hoe Fiction. Received a 5-star review from Reader’s Favorite. Studied Creative Writing/Literature at a private college in Buffalo, NY. Loves comedy and fiction. I finished the ‘Hoe Fiction’ trilogy which consists of Scandalous Hoe Fiction, Hoe Fiction II: The Sauce, and Hoe Fiction III: The Saga Continues…
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
“Hoe Fiction III: The Saga Continues…” is just the continuation of the first book “Scandalous Hoe Fiction” and “Hoe Fiction II: The Sauce”. I wrote these books with the intentions of bringing a voice to a different and often silent community. Being black and lesbian excludes us from certain aspects of sisterhood, because the measure of a woman’s worth is determined by men. In the struggle for our very existence, we often combat stereotypes and misjudgments from other women also. I wrote this book because we as a community of colored women cannot afford to ostracize each other.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
No, I sit and write. Letting ideas come as they will then go back and expand on them. The reason it takes so long to complete a book is because of the messages I want to convey are carefully constructed. I sit down, think, then write.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I have an array of titles and authors that I have read: From Dan Brown to Marlene Banks, Vince Flynn to Assata Shakur, Steve Berry to Audre Lorde, Ken Follett to Barack Obama. I just read what I like, and it took me a while to find what I like. I started out reading Stephen Coonts and Alex Haley.
What are you working on now?
My senior thesis for my B.A. in Creative Writing and Literature. So, nothing I’m working on the build my brand, but finish college!
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?

Remain patient, focused and committed. Nothing is overnight.

What’s next for you as a writer?
I think I’m going to take a break from Hoe Fiction and venture off into something less radical, but honestly, I don’t know yet.
