The Urban Goddess Lesson~How to Spot the Bad Boys from the Heroes is a more in depth guide that was inspired by my popular section Heroes & Heartbreakers from my first book, Lessons for an Urban Goddess.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Not that I know of!! I do enjoy writing outdoors on a warm, sunny day when I can.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I think there are so many wonderful authors and books. Probably too many to mention here. I do prefer non-fiction, how to books.
What are you working on now?
I am thinking about a third book to my series, The Urban Goddess Lesson but presently I am blogging and writing articles for an number of publications. Between that and my teaching college psychology classes, it keeps me pretty busy!
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Book promotions are helpful but nothing beats word of mouth and recommendations from your readers.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Yes, don’t get discouraged! Writing is exciting and fulfilling but promotion and marketing are key. Be patient and stay motivated.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Sounds cliche’ but never give up! Go after your dreams.
What are you reading now?
Just started reading the Sleep Revolution by Arianna Huffington.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I really enjoy writing (both articles, blogs and books) so it is my plan to continue on that journey.
What is your favorite book of all time?
I have a few of them. One of the best self-help books out there (and has been for years) is by Gavin de Becker, The Gift of Fear.
