Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a young author (17 years old) and my first book is my debut memoir “Welcome to Austin!”
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is my memoir “Welcome to Austin.” It is a true story and describes almost all of my life in at least some form or another.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write very quickly! I’ve been told by my editor that my use of commas is a bit off, but other than that no!
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Not exactly sure I’m afraid! Although, I got in trouble for reading adult books at a young age, even though I understood everything I read. Apparently those were pretty influential.
What are you working on now?
🙂 I will tell you when it comes out. Let’s just say some people get killed, a terrorist organization is in there somewhere, and some people (even some of the good people) are a bit off their rocker…
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Uhh… PRETTY-HOT.COM! And a few other promo websites.
Awesome Gang specifically, those guys are awesome!
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Hire an editor that knows what he is doing! I can write, but I can’t do graphic design, I can’t edit professionally, I can’t make websites, this guy totally nailed it! Here is his profile:
fiverr.com/madskribe
Without him my book would still be an unfinished manuscript. I contacted him in early January (I only had the first chapter done at that point), by January 25th were selling on Amazon. My book became the number one seller on free young adult memoirs! We sold over 200 copies (free unfortunately), and it was an amazing experience. He also designed the cover and worked out KDP for selling my book as a paperback!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Listen to advice! You may think you have everything under control, but don’t be afraid to listen to other people’s critiques. Maybe if you are getting bad reviews, then something is wrong. There is a point where you need to step up and say “It’s not them, it’s ME!”
What are you reading now?
The manuscript of my next book!
What’s next for you as a writer?

What is your favorite book of all time?
