My husband and I have a merged family of 5 wonderful adult children. We have 7 grandchildren ranging from 6 months to 13 years. I was born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand, have lived in Wellington for 10 years and currently live on an island in the Hauraki Gulf called Kawau Island. This is where my husband and I recently ran a hospitality business for 9 years. In our NZ winter we travel to Europe where we have embraced the ´Workaway´system of living with families abroad and helping out on their property in lieu of accommodation and food. A fantastic, life-changing experience….taking us to Spain, France and Italy. We now return to Italy every year and continue this lifestyle with a dear friend…along with spending time in Spain with our son and his young family. My earlier career was in marketing and advertising in the newspaper industry, then 15 odd years working as a flight attendant. We have owned two hospitality businesses which has given us the special opportunity to meet so many vibrant, exciting young people … many of whom we keep in touch with today, from all around the world.
My interests are art, pottery, cooking, fishing (river and sea) and keeping up with the ever-growing beautiful family that we have.
