Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m a twenty-something year old that loves to read, watch anime, dance, and write. I’ve only published one book so far. Still got lots more coming, and I’m super pumped.!
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The name of my first book is called Ugly Truth, a prequel to my South series. What brought it to fruition was the fact that I knew this universe with my characters wasn’t going to end anytime soon. I kept putting off publishing it because I was never finished. And also because I stupidly thought that the word count was everything. It’s not. It’s a guideline, so to speak. And once I learnt to stop letting that control me, I was suddenly preparing the story for publishing.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I wouldn’t consider my writing process unusual, but it’s what I do, personally. And it works for me. I listen to Jackie Evancho on repeat. Granted, if I am writing a specific scene that I got inspiration from a certain song, then I’ll listen to that on repeat. But a majority of my writing gets done listening to her.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I’d have to say Lilian Carmine, Skye Warren, S.C. Stephens, J.R. Ward, and Mariana Zapata. Each one of these amazing authors brings something to the table that’s so refine, so unique whether it’s over the top or simple, it fits.
What are you working on now?
I’m currently working on South of You, which is going to be the first book in the South series.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Instagram, for sure! I’m still a little iffy on Facebook, but I use it to notify my family and friends there, regardless of the fact that none of them don’t read. They still show support, though.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Let’s do are best.!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Write everyday.
Write what you know.
What are you reading now?
I honesty lost track of how many books I’m reading/listening to right now. However, I’m re-listening to J.R. Ward’s Chosen right this minute.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Um, I honestly don’t know. I mean, writing is like therapy for me. I write what I like to read, so in that genre I incorporate how I feel, my opinion on things, events that happened to me, things I heard about. Good or bad, it gets written down. So what comes next is something as meaningful as the first.
What is your favorite book of all time?
Ugh, I got too many favorites. But some books I reread are by Skye Warren, Mariana Zapata, J.R. Ward, Cora Reilly, and Sarah Brianne
