Rani, a slightly socially awkward astrophysicist, is in a celestial free-for-all of her own making. Somehow, she’s released some constellations from the night sky and just before her long-awaited vacation to Greece. As creatures of myth and legend make their way into her dreams, all seems harmless. Then Ryan, a man with the pecs of a god and voice like molten chocolate, struts from her dream world into real life, and suddenly she’s seeing stars.
Her vacation turns to mayhem. She learns that the earth is hurtling toward destruction because her emotions are affecting the sun and moon. And a meddling maverick dressed like a goth Tarzan arrives at every one of her worst moments to save her when she’s perfectly capable of saving herself. Add to that a terrifying monster of colossal depravity who wouldn’t mind killing her when he’s finished tormenting her and Rani reaches her limit.
Clearly, no one understands what she’s truly capable of, not even Rani, but that doesn’t matter. It’s high time they get a taste of what an astrophysicist with gumption can do. Rani’s madcap voyage of love, self-discovery, and empowerment will leave you laughing out loud in this installment of My Big Fat Greek Mythology.

Glenda is an adventurer and dreamer. She’s evaded arrest in Cuba, climbed an uncharted mountain in Alaska, played in a jazz band at the Montreux Jazz Festival, thwarted a purse snatcher in Dublin, Ireland, and found herself stranded on an island in Greece as a violent storm brewed in the Aegean.
Her experiences and encounters around the world have been itching to come out in stories for a very long time. So, Amused, her second book, has been a sort of exorcism to make room for more stories and characters to take center stage. It’s also been an opportunity to share her lifelong passion for Greek Mythology while bringing a little levity and beauty to people’s lives.
With that new freedom, she’s back to writing and painting while living the exotic life of an ex-pat in Mexico, in her little paradise home called La Casa de la Risa, or The House of Laughter. Her own Apollo (a lover of the arts), and her dogs, Sassanach, Maya, and Chaucer keep her entertained every day, when they can get her out of her writing/studio that looks out onto the Sierra Madre Occidental.
