Rhonda Spearman Sims, born and raised in Pelzer, South Carolina, always had a passion for writing poems, songs, and stories. Her childhood dream was to become a best-selling author and see her novel adapted into a movie. After marrying her high school sweetheart and having two children, her first marriage ended after ten years. She found love again with her “soulmate,” with whom she had another child. However, following three consecutive surgeries, Rhonda became addicted to opioids, taking over 50 pills daily. This addiction strained her second marriage beyond repair, leading to its eventual dissolution.
