Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Growing up in a small fishing village on the east coast of Ireland, I never imagined I would write books and connect with people from all over the world.
I have written 4 books to date and am very proud to have won an international award for my Self help book, Layman’s Handbook in life.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Layman’s Handbook in life.
I found myself in a very dark place in life following the tragic deaths of my two sons and need to find my way back to life. The inspiration came from within and a determination to not allow a grief journey or life traumas to hold me down.
upon realizing that many of the deeper self help books available to me were difficult to read and understand and I felt that I needed simple and basic tools to pick myself up. I began writing Layman’s Handbook. Subtitled, A journey to SELF – Simple tools to change how we live.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Ask any author, all of it is unusual (lol). I guess it is definitely fair to say “feast or a famine”
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I have only written 2 memoirs about my own life and a self help book that I felt the world needed. My 4th book has been a closer look at my own grief journey and so my influence and inspirations have always come from the inside to out.
What are you working on now?
Two projects, a stage play to screen play and a screen play adaptation.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
The internet
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Keep writing. It may not make sense now, it will though. You will see.
Do not put the horse before the cart. Write, write and write some more first and foremost.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Just write!
What are you reading now?
Zero reading when I am working as I do not wish to be swayed or distracted.
