When the youngest architect in the world, nine-year-old Albert B. Squid, and his father Atticus, take on the job to design a house on Big Trout Lake in Canada, they might have bitten off more than they could chew. Things start to go terribly wrong for the architecture duo when tools and materials go missing, and design drawings are tampered with. The locals are sure it’s the infamous Big Trout Lake Monster that’s up to the dirty deeds; however, Albert becomes skeptical. With his trusty dog, Baji, at his side, Albert decides to use his skills of deductive reasoning to unravel the mystery surrounding the so-called Big Trout Lake Monster from thwarting the house project.

Born to a family of construction peeps, ALBERT B. SQUID was raised on construction sites in Massachusetts. Believe it or not, he holds two degrees in engineering and architecture and has worked as an architect in Boston, Tokyo, and Seoul. In the year 2000, Squid started an independent children’s book publishing company in New York City. I had fun doing that…..I mean HE (Albert B. Squid) had fun doing that! After selling all his worldly possessions and starting on a journey that would take him to all corners of the world, Squid has used his experience in publishing and taken up the occupation as a book author/publisher with his new company, Square Root Of Squid Publishing, spreading his knowledge to kids the world over. Squid tends to be an elusive figure so his current whereabouts are unknown.
